Client Testimonials
James,
You are responsible for our son's exoneration and for giving him back to us. This paragraph from General Mattis says it all, and YOU HELPED TO PROVE THIS! We love you and can never thank you enough…
"With the dismissal of these charges LCpl Sharratt may fairly conclude that he did his best to live up to the standards, followed by U.S. fighting men throughout our many wars, in the face of life or death decisions made in a matter of seconds in combat. And as he has always remained cloaked in the presumption of innocence, with this dismissal of charges, he remains in the eyes of the law – and in my eyes – innocent."
General James Mattis
Job well done!

James,
When my son Evan was wrongfully charged with murder while serving in the US Army in Iskandariyah, Iraq (the Triangle of Death), the appointed TDS Army attorney told us Evan must accept a “deal” to plead guilty to 1
st degree murder and serve 19 years in Leavenworth Prison. In our time of hopelessness and despair, we contacted you. Though you initially told me that your wife and two children were unwilling to allow you to go back to the God-forsaken country we know as Iraq, you convinced them it was the right thing to do. James, you willingly put your life in harm’s way for my family, and you travelled with me to Baghdad three times to defend my son. Your knowledge and expertise in military criminal law saved my son from a pre-meditated murder charge, and you saved Evan from the 19 year sentence that his TDS Attorney had told us was the best outcome we could expect. Our family will never be able to repay the debt of gratitude we owe you. You are truly a Patriot and a Defender of our proud nation. If you or one of your loved ones ever find themselves in need, there is nothing I would not do to assist you or to help you in any way possible. You have become more than my son’s defender, you have become my friend.
Sincerely, Curtis G. Carnahan
Proud parent of a United States Soldier
James,
Thank You!
Getting the false murder charges dismissed in my case would never have been possible without you.
You came at a time when I could no longer believe and trust in people.
With your counsel and history, I could believe, but better yet I could relate to you in another way.
It wasn´t just Attorney-Client relationship, but you became my friend.
You had been Enlisted, an Officer and better yet, I could relate to you since you had served active duty both in Germany and in Iraq. You understood what it’s like to lead Soldiers and to Command them.
You made me believe, and believe there are better men out there!
If ever you’re standing alone, call me I´ll stand at your side anytime. You’re a friend I would do anything for, or to protect.
Thank You.

James,
My family and I would like to express our gratitude for the professional way you handled my Court Martial proceedings. Hiring you was the best decision I could have made, you continually reassured my family and me that everything was going to work out. After almost 12 years of service, four combat tours, and transitioning from Non Commissioned Officer ranks to Commissioned Officer ranks, I thought nothing could go wrong with my career. I was facing 16 charges of False Official Statement, with the possibility of 80 years in prison and a dismissal from the military. Your experience in the Military Justice System was a key factor in my receiving a recommendation of an Administrative Letter of Reprimand, from the judge presiding over my Court Martial. I would recommend your services to any Soldier that may be facing Military Legal actions.
Thank you,
LT Jerry Van Hook
James,
As a prior-enlisted naval officer with 15 and one half years of service, words cannot adequately provide the appreciation I have for you. Simply put... You saved my career, my honor and my marriage. You are an awesome lawyer and even better person. My wife and entire family prays that you will continue helping others as you have so graciously helped us. Thank you for representing us.
Most and Very sincerely,
LT Donta Tanner
Mr. Culp,
Words cannot express the positive impact you have made on my life. After my acquittal, several of my peers and even my commander said that you saved my Air Force career; that is an understatement! Mr. Culp you saved my life! Your performance at my court-martial single handedly garnered my acquittal. Thank you for not judging me. Thank you for zealously representing me. Thank you for sticking with me through then end.

Mr. Culp,
I just wanted to thank you (as I have thanked God) for the blessings of your professional representation and for winning my case.
You won my case through hard work and as a result of believing in my case.
I consider you one of the best attorneys a Soldier could ask for.
Your outstanding work was polished and reflected the highest level of professionalism.
More importantly, the real reason you won my case was your heart.
You were able to get into my complicated case, you made it yours, you fought it, and you won it.
Many soldiers come back from deployments with critical issues that civilians
cannot understand, but this was not the case with you.
You were a Soldier and knew the issues that were most important to me.
I thank God for the blessing of getting your professional services and wining back my career and in doing so, preventing an injustice in a complicated military system
Sincerely,
CPT Marta E. Artiga
